I wanted to quickly share a give-away at Common Sense Homesteading. Please pop over and check out the blog and enter a drawing for free garden seeds! I'm not sure how long before the drawing is finished, so hurry on over!!
A few years ago most of us would have argued that this wasn't happening. "This is America! These are the babblings of fringe element, conspiracy-minded idiots." Then we began to see things that aroused our suspicions. Now we wonder how we came to this. In recent weeks there has been new legislation passed that we all need to be aware of. It's impact on our country, our constitution and our freedom should be something we take the time to learn about and understand. No matter which side of the fence you are on, this is a very interesting video and worth your time to watch.
I first saw it one day over at a friend's house. It was right up my alley, and I knew I was going to have to get a copy. I went so far as to write down the ISBN number, but I never managed to get extra money set aside and still remember the book at the same time.
With our upcoming move and all the plans we are making, I'm very excited to be getting it now.
Pete Smith doesn't get promotional items donated to him for his giveaways as a rule, I don't think. He just finds cool stuff and has a giveaway out of the kindness of his heart. Pete, I'm really sorry I didn't promote you sooner to my vast audience of ones. A belated thanks to you. I'm beginning to learn blog ethics and protocols, and I promise to be more considerate and diligent in the future.
I would like to promote his site now: http://patriotsagainstthenwo.blogspot.com/ I've been following his RSS feed for quite a while. It's a good, informative blog by a decent guy, and I'd appreciate it if you'd pop over and check him out, say hi, and maybe subscribe to his feed. Thanks!
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." ~ Proverbs 13:12
Have you ever felt 'sick at heart'? Everyone faces the times of testing; the painful trials of life will come. Do not view troubles as insurmountable. Do not see hardship as the end. Do not view your pain a permanent situation. Certainly, do not view your situation as a personal attack. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man. 1 Cor. 10:13 The Valley of the Shadow of Death does not care who passes through it, but know this: it is for passing through, not for remaining in.
It is a blessing to know when hard times try our hearts we can stand with God in faith and with patience and He will bring the answer just as He promised if we faint not. If it takes a day or a lifetime, when the desire is fulfilled your heart will be healed and overflowing with gladness. The pain will be gone and your joy will be full as sure as if it had happened in the first hour. Stand. Having done all, stand.
"If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small." ~ Proverbs 24:10 "...be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." ~ Hebrews 6:12
You..... The ball is in your court.
Sorry this is so short, sloppy and abrupt. It's late and I'm tired. Be strong. Be blessed. Good night.
